ISOVER technical solutions a big hit at Hamburg Shipbuilding Fair

ISOVER technical solutions proved to be a big hit at the Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology (SMM) fair held in Hamburg from 7-10 September 2010.

The leading show of the annual shipbuilding calender and a trigger for innovation in the sector, SMM 2010 attracted around 50000 shipbuilding and marine professionals, as well as 2000 exhibitors from a total of 58 countries.
ISOVER showcased its range of insulation solutions specially developed for the shipbuilding industry, with particular focus on the show's main themes of 'Green Technology' and 'Offshore Techniques'.
The company's high performance ISOVER ULTIMATE Marine Wired Mat proved to be of particular interest, with visitors impressed by the combination of excellent thermal, acoustic and fire protection properties which can be achieved at around half of the weight of traditional insulation solutions. This unique product offers the shipbuilding industry a whole range of important benefits, including the opportunity to minimise fuel consumption and emissions, and to optimise payload, and therefore profitability.
ISOVER exhibited alongside its sister companies on the 'Saint-Gobain Marine Applications' stand, where key issues such as weight and energy saving, improved safety and increased comfort levels in modern shipbuilding were brought together under the banner of 'New perspectives'.
Visitors to the stand, who were able to discuss topics of common interest with Saint-Gobain companies and co-operation partner Halton, welcomed the opportunity to discuss joint solutions and offers, and were visibly impressed by the resulting synergy benefits.
